The free 3rd-party utility My Widgets allows the creation of custom widgets for iOS and iPadOS. When you do, all the current ones show up with an X in the upper-left corner. Click the plus sign when you want to delete widgets. To add more widgets, open the Notification Center and scroll down to the bottom of the list. A scrolling list appears at the bottom of your screen. This can be accessed by swiping left, like in iPadOS 13. To add more widgets, click the plus sign in the lower-left corner.
